Dont miss another sales opportunity
from your everyday signmaking operations. Take advantage of business as
usual to achieve unusual business results. Make that telephone or walk-in order just the
beginning of a wonderful, even bigger contract. Heres how:
Add More of the Same. If your customer is
ordering a set of magnetic car signs for one vehicle, how about offering another set of
the same at a small discount? You'll win as well as your customer! After all, the time
spent setting up the job, gathering the materials, and rolling in the vinyl is virtually
the same whether it's for one job or for two. With minimal labour to cut, weed and apply
the vinyl on the second set, extra profit from everyday business operations becomes a
reality when you add more of the same.
Up sell the Order. Wouldnt that banner
look more professional with an added graphic? Or, what about using a higher performance
vinyl on that 4 x 8 so that it lasts longer? Pointing out potential benefits
to customers is easy if youre convinced its to their advantage. Were not
talking about any high pressure here. Simply stating the facts can help the client make a
more informed decision. Their ultimate satisfaction can lead to more and bigger orders in
the future as well!
Cross-Sell Related Items. For example, let your
customers know that a full-colour, digitally printed graphic to frame for their lobby is
available. This graphic can complement that vinyl logo youre already going to cut
and apply to the faces of their pole sign. Perhaps theyd prefer a floor graphic? Use
that new colour equipment and maintain your customer base. If you dont, theyll
probably go elsewhere and purchase the same thing!
Have a Special. So you dont make gobs of
profit on this months special, so what! Youre using the same marketing
strategy thats been around for decades, even centuries. That strategy stays popular
because it works. Give customers a deal and theyll be back for more. Advantageous to
you, a special promotion can even make use of some slow-moving inventory. In addition,
youll have the opportunity to up sell, cross-sell or add more of the same to achieve
unusual results from business as usual.
